The university pathway programme for A-level, UEC, and STPM students entering Spain's public university system. One year at Vigo, a lifetime of opportunities in Spain and beyond.
Campus Spain is an intensive language and cultural immersion programme delivered by the Language Centre of the University of Vigo. It was created for international students who plan to enter Spanish higher education, a pathway that requires certified Spanish language proficiency and genuine cultural integration before university admission.
The LCA (Language, Culture & Adaptation) programme follows Instituto Cervantes standards across all CEFR levels. What sets LCA apart is that 30% of all teaching activities take place outside the classroom, incorporating trips across Spain, museum and gallery visits, concert and theatre outings, academic conferences, and participation in local festivals and celebrations. All activities are included in the tuition fees.
Campus Spain also manages the formal university admission procedures on students' behalf, making the transition from LCA into undergraduate or postgraduate study at a Spanish public university fully supported from day one.
LCA is not a conventional language course. It is a complete one-year preparation for life and study in Spain, combining structured language instruction with mandatory deep cultural integration.
The LCA curriculum follows Instituto Cervantes standards and builds the full competency profile needed for success at a Spanish public university.
The LCA year is a single all-in programme fee. From year two onwards at a Spanish university, costs drop significantly, especially with scholarship support.

A vibrant Atlantic port city in northwest Spain, student-friendly, affordable, and steeped in Galician culture. Home to the University of Vigo and the Campus Spain LCA programme.
Vigo sits on the Galician coast overlooking the Ría de Vigo estuary. Known for its Atlantic seafood, beaches, and mild coastal climate, a welcome contrast to the dry heat of central Spain.
The University of Vigo has over 20,000 students and a strong international outlook. LCA students are based at the University Language Centre, giving them access to full campus facilities and university life from the start.
Galicia has its own language, cuisine, music, and architecture distinct from the rest of Spain. The LCA cultural programme is woven into this environment through local festivals, markets, and heritage sites across the region.
Students in Vigo typically live on €650–800 per month covering accommodation, food, and miscellaneous expenses, noticeably cheaper than Madrid or Barcelona, letting your budget stretch much further.
