Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of mystudy.com.my. They cover what the information on this site is and is not, and where our responsibility as a consultancy begins and ends.
1. Accepting these terms
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. These terms apply to the website only. If you engage us as your consultant, that relationship is governed by whatever we agree with you separately in writing, which takes precedence over anything here.
2. The information on this site
We publish course listings, entry requirements, tuition fees, living cost estimates, scholarship figures, intake dates and career information for institutions in Ireland, Spain, France, Canada and elsewhere. We take care to keep it accurate and we update it regularly.
But this information originates with the institutions and governments concerned, and they change it without telling us. Fees rise, entry requirements tighten, intakes get cancelled, visa rules change. Treat everything on this site as a guide to help you shortlist, and confirm the details that matter to your decision with us or with the institution before you commit money or time.
The tools on this site, including the course finder, the cost and scholarship calculator and any match or eligibility indicator, produce estimates. They are not offers, not quotations, and not a decision on your eligibility. See our Disclaimer for detail.
3. What our service is
MyStudy is an education consultancy. We advise you on options, prepare and submit applications on your behalf, and support you through visa and pre-departure arrangements. We are not a university, we are not an agent of any government, and we do not make admission or visa decisions.
We hold representation arrangements with a number of institutions. Where an institution pays us a commission for a placement, that does not change our obligation to recommend what genuinely suits you. Ask us at any time whether we hold an arrangement with a particular institution and we will tell you.
4. Admission and visa outcomes
We cannot guarantee, and do not guarantee:
- that any institution will admit you;
- that you will be awarded a scholarship, or awarded the amount estimated on this site;
- that any embassy or immigration authority will grant you a visa or entry;
- that you will find employment during or after your studies, or earn any particular salary.
Those decisions belong entirely to the institutions and authorities concerned. Anyone in this industry who tells you otherwise is misleading you.
5. Your obligations
When you use this site or apply through us, you agree to:
- give us information that is true, accurate and complete, and tell us promptly when it changes;
- submit only genuine documents. Submitting a forged or altered certificate, transcript or identity document is a criminal offence in Malaysia and in every destination country, and will end your application and our engagement immediately;
- not use this site unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use automated means to scrape or overload it;
- not copy our content for a competing service.
6. Intellectual property
The MyStudy name and logo, the design of this site, and the text, guides and articles we have written are our property or used under licence. You may read, print and share them for your own use as a student or parent. You may not republish them commercially, or present them as your own, without our written permission.
University names, logos and course titles belong to those institutions and appear here for identification only.
7. Third-party links
We link to university websites, government visa pages and other external resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other side of it.
8. Availability
We aim to keep this site available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including any course listing or tool, without notice.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on general information published on this site, as opposed to written advice we have given you directly about your own circumstances.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
