1. General

Everything published on mystudy.com.my is general information for prospective students and their families. It is not personalised advice, and it is not a contractual offer. Advice specific to your grades, budget and circumstances is what we give you in a consultation, in writing.

2. Tuition fees and living costs

Fee figures come from the institutions themselves and are usually quoted for a particular intake year. They change, most often upward, and they are frequently revised after we publish. Living cost estimates are typical ranges, not budgets: your actual spending depends on the city, your accommodation and how you live.

Figures shown in ringgit are converted from euro, pound or dollar amounts at the rate on the day we prepared the page. Exchange rates move. The ringgit cost of a three-year degree can shift materially between the day you read about it and the day you pay for it. Budget with headroom.

3. Entry requirements

Published entry requirements are the institution's minimum. Meeting them does not entitle you to a place. Competitive programmes, particularly in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, law and computer science, routinely admit only applicants well above the published minimum, and requirements can be raised between intakes.

4. The calculator and course-matching tools

The cost and scholarship calculator and any course match, eligibility or shortlisting tool on this site work from figures and rules we have entered by hand. They are planning aids.

• A scholarship figure they produce is an estimate of what you might be offered, not an award, not a reservation, and not a promise that any award exists for your intake.
• Scholarships are almost always subject to the institution's own assessment, to available funding, and to conditions such as maintaining a grade average.
• A total cost they produce excludes items we cannot know: visa fees, insurance, flights, deposits, and your personal spending.

Confirm any figure that will influence a financial decision with us, and ultimately with the institution, before you rely on it.

5. Career and salary information

Salary ranges, employer names and graduate outcome statistics on our career pages are drawn from published labour market sources and are indicative of a market at a point in time. They are not a forecast of your earnings and not a representation that any named employer recruits our students. Employment after graduation depends on your degree, your record, the labour market and immigration rules in force when you graduate, none of which we control.

6. Visa and immigration information

Immigration rules, including post-study work rights, change frequently and sometimes at short notice. Anything we publish about visas is a summary to help you plan. The authoritative source is always the official government or embassy website for the country concerned, on the day you apply.

7. Third-party and user content

Student testimonials describe individual experiences and are not typical or guaranteed outcomes. Institution descriptions, rankings and photographs are supplied by or sourced from the institutions and are their responsibility.

8. Corrections

If you find something on this site that is out of date or wrong, please tell us at askme@mystudy.my. We would rather correct it than leave a student planning against a bad number.
